Effective: October 22, 2026. Short version: we collect almost nothing, and never sell anything.
Who we are
Spanified publishes the Spain Daily newsletter and this website. For any privacy question, write to [email protected] — we usually reply within a couple of days.
What we collect
Newsletter email. When you subscribe, we store your email address to send you the Spain Daily digest. Subscriptions are managed in Listmonk, the newsletter software we run, and the emails are sent through an email delivery service that processes your address on our behalf. The subscribe form is protected by Cloudflare (Turnstile bot check), which handles your submission in transit.
Anonymous analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read — no names, no emails, no cross-site tracking on our side.
We do not run accounts, comments, or trackers beyond that. The site is free to read with no sign-up.
Why we use it (GDPR basis)
Your email is used solely to deliver the newsletter you asked for — the legal basis is your consent, given at subscription. Analytics are covered by our legitimate interest in keeping the site useful. You can withdraw consent anytime via the unsubscribe link in every email.
How long we keep it
Your email stays on the mailing list until you unsubscribe — unsubscribed addresses are removed. Anonymous analytics are retained per Google's standard retention settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to show, correct, or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, and take it elsewhere (portability). Just email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority — in Spain, the AEPD.
Sharing
We share your email only with the services that run the newsletter for us: our email delivery service and Cloudflare (which processes the subscribe form). We never sell personal data and never share it with advertisers. If the law requires disclosure, we will comply — and tell you unless forbidden.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will note it here and, for subscribers, in the newsletter. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
