About Spanified

We make Spain make sense — in English, in five minutes a day.

The brand

Spanified is an independent media brand for people who live in Spain, are moving here, or just keep an eye on the country — and prefer it in English. Rents, taxes, visas, jobs: Spain moves fast, and we turn its agenda into short, plain-English briefings with zero clickbait.

Our products

Spain Daily — our flagship: a free morning briefing with the day's most important Spanish news, summarized in English. It lands every day around 08:00 Madrid time, on this site and by email for subscribers. Past editions live in the archive.

Methodology

  1. Scan. Every morning our pipeline reads Spain's leading news outlets — national dailies, wires, and regional press.
  2. Select. The most significant stories of the day are picked across politics, economy, migration, culture, and sport.
  3. Summarize. Each story is condensed into a short English summary with the help of AI — just the facts, no commentary.
  4. Link the sources. Every story carries links to the original reporting, so you can verify anything yourself in one click.
  5. Human review. The editor reads every digest before it goes out — checking stories, summaries, and sources, and cutting anything below the bar.

Our AI policy

Every digest states it openly: the summaries are based on real news, created with the help of AI and reviewed by a human. We never invent events, quotes, or figures — and the linked sources are always there to check us. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we'll fix it.
